FROM Thursday the 5th October to Saturday the 4th November the Dukes Gallery will house a new exhibition, for the first time reflecting their current production.
The new exhibition 'Menagerie', the work of painter and printmaker Iain Sloan, is based on 'The Glass Menagerie' by Tennessee Williams.
The themes of the two works are memory and time, and both the images of the exhibition and the acts of the play gain momentum progressively.
Iain, a lecturer at Blackpool and the Fylde College, has explored a wide range of media in the exhibition, and claims that his interest in etching and dark and metallic colours stems from the tenement buildings of his youth in Glasgow and Tyneside. Entry to the exhibition is free. Call the Box Office for more details on 01524 66645.
