MORECAMBE Bay Advanced Motorists, a voluntary group dedicated to improving road safety, is beginning a campaign to improve the riding skills of motorcyclists in the area.
They are calling for any motorcyclists interested in becoming better riders, so as to become safer road-users and also increase the pleasure they get from riding, to contact the organization to arrange training, after which they will take the 'Institute of Advanced Motoring Motorcycle test.'
Group Chairman, Steve Anderton, said, "Everybody should be concerned about road safety and protecting our own lives and those of others. By driving to our standards you are less likely to have an accident or cause one."
The group also calls for current certificate holders to join the organization as a 'volunteer observer', helping to train riders, and so making the roads safer for everyone. You can contact the group by phoning Phil Butler, the group secretary, on 0701 071 9753 or by e-mailing him on morecambe@groups.iam.org.uk
