THE machinations of Blackpool Council are breathtaking. They have just installed security lights on some of the flats on Molyneux Drive.
Two workmen appeared and dug a big hole on one of the paths, installed the relevant pipework and filled it in. They made a neat job of it. The electricians came and wired the lights up.
Two more men then appeared and dug it all up as they had omitted to notify the electricity board who eventually came and installed the forgotten post. Two men returned to fill in the hole and left a really rough job, not worthy of an amateur. In the process they blocked the rain channel up. I am now informed the switchgear has to be moved!
What a plethora of blunders. No wonder the council is on the verge of bankruptcy.
