WELSH international striker Nathan Blake looks set to partner Matt Jansen up front for tomorrow's trip to league-leaders Fulham after shaking off a muscle strain.

Blackburn boss Graeme Souness will make a couple of late checks on Blake and his other returning international stars before naming his side for the televised clash at Craven Cottage.

But, barring a couple of minor knocks, Rovers should be back to full strength as they attempt to end the Cottagers' 100 per cent start to the season.

"If you've got international players then that's always going to be a problem," said Souness.

"There'sa few with little minor knocks but, fortunately, we've got an extra day to get them right."

Fulham are on course to break Reading's record for the best ever start to a season after winning all of their opening nine games.

But Souness is adamant Jean Tigana's side are far from unbeatable and believes Rovers are more than capable of denting their 100 per cent record.

"It's a difficult game, Fulham are bombing, and they've got off to an incredible start," said Souness.

"But, at the same time, someone's got to turn them over -- every team that plays them will be thinking that. And they've got to lose sometime so why not on Sunday? Who's to say they won't now lose nine on the bounce?

"They had a great start last year and then faded away so their manager will be aware of that.

"But, as always, I'm only concerned with what we do and if we perform to our capabilities then I believe we can go anywhere and get a result in this league.

"If we don't -- and we have to be honest and say we haven't performed away from home this year -- then we'll get turned over." Souness confirmed Craig Hignett will be included in his squad for the first time this season following his three month in jury nightmare.

And the Ewood chief won't be affraid to pitch him into the action despite having just 60 minutes of reserve team action under his belt since the summer.

"We just want to see Craig back in the first team as soon as possible," said Souness.

"He won't start the game, he'll be on the bench, then depending on how the game pans out I imagine he'll get on.

"I make a big thing about confidence and if you are scoring goals then that breeds confidence.

"In a lot of our away games the odd goal has been the difference.

"If we had scored the first goalor maybe got ourselves back into games by scoring a goal at a certain time then perhaps the outcome of those games might have been different."

Rovers will choose from: Filan, Kelly, Curtis, Bjornebye, Taylor, Short, Berg, Dunn, Carsley, Flitcroft, Blake, Jansen, McAteer, Duff, Hignett, Broomes, Johnson, Gillespie, Ostenstad, Kenna.

Meanwhile, Fulham boss Jean Tigana looks set to be without leading goalscorer Louis Saha for tomorrow's clash.

The French Under 21 international, who already has 10 goals to his name this term, has missed the last couple of games with a hamstring injury.

Their squad is: Taylor, Trollope, Melville, Coleman, Symons, Finnan, Davis, Fernandes, Clark, Collins, Goldbaek, Hayles, Boa-Morte, Hahnemann, Peschisolido.

Rovers boss Souness has had talks with Derby chief Jim Smith about a move for Christian Dailly but County are yet to make a bid for the Scottish international, however.

Darren Peacock has joined Wolves on a month's loan from Rovers.
