RADCLIFFE High School's lucky number has come up and it is in the money thanks to the National Lottery.
The Abden Street school has been awarded £42,916 from the Lottery's New Opportunities Fund.
Headteacher Mr Graham Rollinson said he was "absolutely delighted" with the windfall.
The new awards have been introduced to fund out-of-school hours learning activities designed to motivate and challenge young people.
At Radcliffe the money will be used for improving the literacy, numeracy and ICT skills of its pupils.
Mr Rollinson said: "This is a tremendous opportunity for the school to fund out-of-hours learning facilities. It will serve a disadvantaged area and will enable us to provide study skills support and homework activities."
