A YOUNGSTER who suffered from chronic asthma as a baby has got the world at his feet after signing up with one of the country's top soccer clubs.
Sixteen-year-old Adam Flynn from Haydock has signed a three-year scholarship with Liverpool FC, whom he has supported since he was just two years old!
Adam, a pupil at St Augustine Catholic High School, Blackbrook, was spotted by former Liverpool star Steve Heighway, chief development officer at the Anfield club's academy in Kirkby.
Proud mum, Anne told the Star: "I am delighted with the progress Adam has made. He trains two or three times a week and plays a match at least once a week.
"From a young age, he was very confident in his ability and this has just illustrated what commitment and desire can achieve.
"The remarkable thing is that Adam has suffered with chronic asthma since he was six weeks old but that hasn't prevented him from reaching his goal."
