BJFF dominated but Wyre gave a spirited performance in the first half with some great saves from their brave keeper Kevin who dived at players feet on many occasions and in doing so kept the half-time scoreline to a creditable 1-0. BJFF's scorer was Dane Matthews with a good long-range strike, which took a wicked deflection before going in. Soon after half-time BJFF increased their lead with a fine run and finish from Kevin Murray. Passing and movement improved as BJFF settled down and some great moves emanating from man of the match Aaron Clarke who created many chances. A great corner from Kevin Murray was headed home by Andy Cairns and goals from Bradley Sanderson and Malik Wilson (his first for BJFF) sealed victory. BJFF U18s 5 AFC BOLTON 6 -- LANCASHIRE CUP

ON a wet pitch the first 10 minutes both teams had chances. As the half wore on Bolton's strength showed and first class finishing found saw them 3-0 up. With BJ defenders in fine form, both Steve McKenzie and Dean Cox especially so, the score remained the same at half-time. The second half saw a revitalised BJFF come out with Tom Briggs commandingmid field. Goals from Brady Skellington, Phil Dodgson, Mark Cottam and Shane McGonagle gave BJ a 4-3 lead. But BJ then eased back and with two minutes left allowed Bolton to steal the equaliser. In extra time BJFF again dominated and a missed penalty and a further Mark Cottam goal meant they turned round 5-4 up. As Bolton piled on the pressure the last five minutes saw BJ crack and allow them to once again equalise. A superb strike by Phil Dodgson was finger tipped away by the keeper only for Bolton to score from nowhere as the referee put the whistle to his mouth.
