THE £12 million Village Bury hotel and leisure complex has made its first signing to join general manager Steve Lee.
Sarah Draycott (27), has been appointed personnel and training officer for the hotel which is being developed at the Waterfold Business Park.
Altogether, the complex will create 200 full and part-time jobs.
For the past year, Sarah has been the personnel and training manager at Village Cheadle.
Previously, she was employed as a human resources manager with Holiday Inns, latterly based in Cambridge and London.
Village Bury is being constructed on a five acre site close to Junction 2 of the M66 and is scheduled to open next summer.
The hotel will incorporate 98 en-suite bedrooms, extensive conference, meeting and banqueting facilities, Salingers Bar and Restaurant, cafe-style bar and Village Pub.
The state-of-the-art Village Leisure Club will feature a 25-metre heated pool, sauna, steamroom, sunshower, fitness studio, squash courts, aerobics studios, whirlpool spa, toning tables, a creche and health works studio providing health and beauty treatments for both men and women.
