RIGHT up their street! That's a Bury chemicals company which has found the right formula for a successful cash bid to fund a landscaping scheme.
And to mark the environmentally-friendly approach adopted by RaKeM Ltd, the Wellington Street-based company has been awarded a £10,000 cheque.
The cash, which has come courtesy of the Business Investment Programme, is a contribution to the landscaping work recently completed at RaKeM"s premises.
Since moving into their headquarters last December, the company has invested significantly in the refurbishment of the building, both internally and externally.
Bosses applied for the award from the Business Investment Programme run by Bury's Business Environment Association to continue with these improvements.
The initiative is run in partnership with Bury Council and is funded through the Single Regeneration Budget (SRB) 3.
This project is one of 11 currently under way in the borough which will lead to enhanced business environments.
In its first three years, the Business Investment Programme operated in the Radcliffe area. But it has now been extended to cover the whole of the borough.
