CONCERN is growing over the future of players at Blackpool who will be out of contract at the end of the season.

Five players, including striker Brett Ormerod, will reach the end of their contracts which means, after the Bosman ruling, they could become free agents at the end of the season.

As the club would not get a transfer fee should they leave it now faces a dilemma whether to offer the new contracts now or wait and risk them leaving without Blackpool receiving any transfer fee.

The four other players are John Hills, Richard Wellens, Ian Hughes and Steve Bushell, although as Wellens is under 24 the club could still command a fee for him but it would be decided by tribunal.

It is not certain how many of the players would wish to stay at the club.

GIANTKILLING experts Yeovil Town will be Pool's next opponents in the second round of the FA Cup to be played at Bloomfield Road on December 9.
