ENGLAND Under 21 international David Dunn will not miss the derby clash with Burnley on December 17 after seeing red on Saturday in the 2-1 home defeat against Gillingham.

Dunn had feared he could be banned from the clash after getting sent off for the first time in his career.

But, because the offence was for two yellows, he will only have to serve one game against QPR a week on Saturday.

He will still have to walk a disciplinary tightrope at Tranmere this weekend, however, as he is currently one caution away from another suspension.

"I would have been gutted if I'd missed that one," said Dunn.

"But I thought the sending off was a bit harsh to be honest anyway.

"For the first one, I probably deserved to get booked. As for the second one, I thought I got something on it.

"I just went in to try and win it and I had no intention of trying to hurt the lad at all.

"But I think the player made a meal of it and I was unlucky to get red-carded."
