CERTIFICATES were presented to Burnley and Pendle Prince's Trust volunteers at Burnley Football Club.

The 12-week programme took a group of working, New Deal and unemployed 16-25 year olds through a series of development opportunities to gain qualifications, confidence, employment and better chances of promotion.

Members of team eight took part in events including residential team building at YMCA, Lakeside, community project regenerating the recreation room at the Ecroyd centre, Colne, fire safety training, placements in schools, day care centres and with the local media, IT skills at Nelson and Colne College, mock interviews with feedback from real employers, fund-raising through a sponsored abseil, car boot sale and raffles and a week long final team challenge with day visits to Eureka, bowling, the cinema, Manchester United ground and the Blue Planet aquarium.

Guests at the presentation included members of the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, Kevin Ball from Burnley FC and representatives from the team's sponsors and beneficiaries.
