BURY boss Andy Preece has a dilemma on his hands for the final two matches of the season.

The Bury boss must decide whether to give the kids a game or stick with a strong team in an attempt to get six points and push the Shakers into a top ten position.

While many supporters might favour giving the kids much needed experience Preece made the valid point that as no one knows who will take over the club during the summer it was in his own interests to get the best league position possible.

If new owners did come in, then the higher the Shakers finish, the better chance Preece has of staying in the manager's hotseat.

Throwing too many kids in could put his own position in doubt.

"With me not knowing what position my job's going to be in then maybe it's important that we finish as high as we can so if something does happen I've finished 10th or ninth with Bury Football Club. There's that to think about," admitted Preece.

"Next year's impossible to talk about because we just don't know the situation we'll be in. It's as frustrating for me as it is for the fans not to know exactly what direction we are going in.

"It's been difficult all season. It's one of those things you bruush aside and say it doesn't affect you but it does. I don't know whether I'll be here next year or not. If someone comes in they might want to get rid of me and it is difficult to work under that.

"It's hard for the players as well but everybody has got on with it and done really well. Hopefully it will be sorted and it certainly needs to be because the season is coming to an end and we need to identify the players we can keep so we can make a push next year."

In view of that Preece is likely to stick the the older more experienced players for the final 180 minutes of soccer, at home to Wycombe on Saturday and then away at Brentford the following weekend.

And a top ten finish - which is what the manager wants - would be a massive accomplishment for a club who have no money to spend and compete with the bigger teams.

Preece explained: "The plan is to finish in the top half of the table. If we do that it will be a massive achievement. There are eight or nine clubs with money and if you look at the table most of them are up there.

"Then there's another eight in the middle with a bit of money if they need it and then there's another eight who are really struggling.

"If we can finish in that middle eight then it is a huge achievement and that's what we are aiming to do."
