BACUP slipped to defeat at Chadderton in the NWCL Division Two despite taking a third minute lead.
Good build up play from Nicky Taylor, Steven Gavin left Paul Waine to set up Damian Moran who fired home his third goal of the campaign as Brent Peter's side looked to build on a run of one loss in ten games.
Bacup pressed but the conditions dominated the game with the match almost abandoned at half-time as the rain came down.
Chadderton came back strongly after the break and Danny Fahey (60) drew them level with a free header and Richie Ferguson (69) secured the points.
