ACCRINGTON STANLEY 2 BARROW 1

A GOAL three minutes into stoppage time from super-sub Mark Ceraolo snatched three points for ten-man Stanley and ended Barrow's run of eight consecutive wins.

The Reds went ahead after 24 minutes when Simon Carden threaded through a good ball for Brett Baxter to fire home.

However, the Stanley lead was shortlived as Barrow hit back and equalised two minutes later, Scott Maxfield crossing from the left for the unmarked Grant Holt to head past Jamie Speare.

Five minutes later Nicky Peverill was put clear but his well struck shot was saved by Speare before Paul Burns replied with a 20-yarder which Barrow keeper Simon Bishop fisted away.

A minute before the break Barrow almost took the lead as a Steve Housham headed against the bar but Stanley continued to create chances and after half-time Paul Mullin was denied by Bishop.

The game then exploded 12 minutes from time when Burns launched a late tackle on Maxfield which saw the pair square up to each other Burns dismissed. Maxfield received just a yellow and Stanley manager John Coleman wa sent from the dugout for protesting.

However, Stanley had the last laugh as an inswinging Steve Carragher corner was headed into the net by Ceraolo to snatch the points.
