SAINTS star Sean Long took time out from the team's Rugby League Challenge Cup Final preparations to help a new business 'touch down' in town.

The Knowsley Road ace performed the official opening ceremony for a new, state-of-the-art distribution centre for Powwow, the UK's leading water cooler company at the Lea Green Business Park.

There has been a 50 per cent increase in demand from companies in the North West for fresh water in the workplace and Powwow's centre manager, Mal Ashall said: "We currently supply ten million cups of water every year to workers in the North West and the market for water coolers in the area is booming.

"Not only will the new centre mean more workers in the North West benefiting from 'fresher thinking on the job' with Powwow water, but our projected growth is likely to bring 20 new jobs to St Helens over the next 12 months".

The new distribution centre will supply water to companies as far afield as from Carlisle to Stoke and across the Pennines.
