POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a robbery in an alleyway just off Corporation Street, St Helens, on Monday, April 16.
The incident occurred at about 1.15pm when a 14 year-old boy was approached by two men as he waited for a bus.
One of the offenders questioned the victim about a knife which had been used by youths wearing football shirts to attack his brother.
The boy was then searched, punched in the face and stomach and had the sim card removed from his mobile phone along with a small quantity of cash.
Both men were then seen getting on a bus at the station but later got off and headed in the direction of the town centre.
The first offender is described as white, 5ft 7ins tall, 18 years-old with a medium build. He was wearing a red and pink sweatshirt, dark coloured jacket and tracksuit bottoms and a red sunshine hat.
The second offender is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall, 18 years-old with short brown wavy hair.
