FOUR mews-style cottages could be built along Ribblesdale Avenue, in Clitheroe, if councillors give plans the green light.
A resubmitted application for the development will be heard at Ribble Valley Council's planning and development committee meeting tonight. Several objections have been received from local residents and the town council.
The plans are for a two-storey building, containing four red brick mews-style cottages with a slate roof. The site access will also require highway alterations.
Neighbours are concerned about the increase of building in the area, congestion along a single-track lane leading to Moorland School, overlooking of nearby houses in the vicinity of Northmede and and fears that mature trees will be destroyed. The plans are recommended for approval.
