RESERVE hooker Martin Roden broke an ankle during Leigh Alliance side's 52-4 Hilton Park win over Whitehaven on Saturday.
Roden, who has made eight senior appearances this season, will be out for up to eight weeks.
The injury was the only black spot on an otherwise impressive Leigh performance which saw them move up into fourth place in the table, just four points behind leaders Widnes.
Leigh's points came from tries by Chris Halliwell (2), Paul Norman (2), Craig Wingfield, Chris Dootson, Ian Hodson, Jason Johnson, Gareth Bourhill and Dave Jones with Lee Sanderson landing five goals and Dootson one.
The Alliance team's next match is at Doncaster on Thursday, May 3.
