YOUNG guide dog sponsors came face-to-face with one of their furry friends at Bury Grammar School's Kindergarten.
Children from the school's nursery met female golden retriever, Kresta, after they raised £800 for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association through a sponsored spell.
Kresta was accompanied by her owner Barbara Yorath, from Radcliffe.
The youngsters, who have collected money for six other guide dog puppies in the past, were also allowed to name a puppy. They chose the name Spike, and will receive a photograph of the dog when it is chosen from a new litter.
