A TIMBER group with a branch in Bury has been awarded the first-ever British Deck Mark.
The accolade from the Timber Decking Association has gone to the Howarth Timber Group which has a base in Bright Street, Bury.
This award means the company's Arbordeck timber decking products will now carry the ultimate mark of quality assurance.
In Bury, Howarth staff undergo training to learn about the specification and installation of timber decks.
Manager Paul Barton said: "We are naturally proud to have received the Deck Mark and to be able to offer our customers the UK's market leading decking product here in Bury."
Howarth Bury is part of the Howarth Timber Group which has been established for more than 160 years.
