A LANCASTER woman was seriously injured when she jumped from the emergency door of a moving bus on Saturday night.
The woman and her boyfriend were travelling in the single decker bus along Scale Hall Road, close to Scale Hall Lane, when she jumped out of the door. She fell to the ground and banged her head on the floor, causing what police described as 'serious' head injuries. She was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital for treatment. A police spokesman said: "We believe this woman got off the vehicle while it was moving at a slow speed. It appears she has fallen over and banged her head as she left the vehicle. We are keen to hear from anybody who saw the incident who can tell us in more detail exactly what happened."
