THE costs of housing asylum seekers in Wigan borough will be recouped by the council under a five year Government contract.
A sum of £218,000 has been set aside to support the asylum seeker initiative throughout Wigan.
Provisions within that budget include the availablility of 19 properties in the Atherton area over the duration of the five year contract.
