The vital top-of-the-table clash in the Finnair Manchester League Premier Division went Stand Athletic's way in a 3-0 home win over Atherton Town.
All three goals came in the last 20 minutes from Steve Stott, Chris Denham and Chris Curran.
In the LAL Division One Horwich RMI produced a much improved performance for a 1-1 away draw at Broughton. The Railwaymen missed a host of chances with midfielder David Aspinall the one player to find the back of the net.
