A RETIRED academic lawyer has become a non-executive director to the board of the Blackburn, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley Health Care NHS Trust.
Eileen Scott has been involved with the NHS in East Lancashire for 20 years and has lived in Accrington throughout this time.
From 1992 to 1998 she was chairman of both the North West's and Blackburn, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley's Community Health Councils.
She is also the chairman of Hyndburn Crossroads, a charitable organisation providing respite care.
