WE note that Burnley MP Peter Pike, voted for allowing the European Union Flag to be shown on car number plates. The legislation he was voting for makes it illegal to substitute the Union Jack, cross of St George, Scottish Saltire or Welsh dragon for the EU flag.
It has come to a pretty pass when it is illegal to show a national flag, but perfectly legal to show the flag of a mere organisation.
This is just another devious way to try to make us feel more European and another turn of the screw in an attempt to create a country called Europe.
