DARWEN was left without one single Tory councillor as the party lost more than 500 seats in England's elections.
The biggest shocks were in Blackburn where Conservative leader Don Heatlie-Jackson and deputy leader Fred Slater both lost their Darwen seats, and in Hyndburn where Conservative deputy mayor Doug Heyes, who was due to become Mayor later in the month, also lost his seat.
