AN Accrington primary school is set for a massive refurbishment after landing a £2 million windfall.
Spring Hill Primary School, in Exchange Street, has been awarded more than £2 million to replace old buildings and improve the facilities it can offer to pupils in the community.
Spring Hill is among 10 successful bids from across the county.
The funding package has been made available by the county council as part of a partnership approach it is adopting with schools.
Replacing old buildings is just one of a range of priorities to be tackled by the county council in the next three years as part of a £20 million package to improve the condition of schools across Lancashire.
