AN inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of a 54 year-old paraplegic who was admitted to hospital with pneumonia.
David William Singleton, of Meadow View, Clitheroe died at Blackburn Royal Infirmary on April 26.
A post mortem examination revealed that he had respiratory failure, pneumonia and spinal injuries, which he suffered after a fall while working in Darwen during 1997.
The inquest was adjourned until June 12 to take place at the Corner's Office in Clitheroe.
