IF you are a cartoon fanatic, then you will appreciate the web site they call Zot!
The acclaimed author of the indispensable Understanding Comics, Scott McCloud knows a thing or two about what the medium is capable of.
As a case point, Zot!, his cult 80s comic ('the superhero comic for people who hate superhero comics!') has transferred the web in some style.
Telling the story of a hero from a world where all hopeful visions of the future came true, Zot travels our Earth, where he shares adventures with the cynical Jenny.
Each episode (there are 16) appears in a pop-up window, where you scroll down from one panel to the next.
It's a wonderful experiment and a resounding success, with McCloud cunningly proving that you don't need some elaborate Shockwave set-up to create on-line comics that are as good as his.
