AN elderly lady fell to the ground and injured her hip and hand as a callous thief snatched her handbag from her side.

The incident occurred on Church Street in Kirkham at 5.40pm on April 14. After the thief took the bag from the 71-year-old, he ran off towards the town centre.

He is described as an 18-year-old white male between 18 and 30 years of age with short fair hair. He was wearing a fawn/cream lightweight jacket.

A BRAVE 82-year-old lady wrestled with a thief who attempted to steal her handbag on Whitegate Drive, Blackpool, at 11.15am on April 22.

The 6ft tall man tried to wrestle the bag from the lady but she managed to hold onto it during the struggle, forcing the man to run off.

He was wearing a beige jacket and dark bottoms.

TWO men approached a 73-year-old woman and her husband on Pleasant Street, Blackpool, in order to grab the lady's handbag.

They managed to snatch the bag and ran off along Lord Street into Mount Street. One of the assailants is described as a white male, between 18 and 20 years of age. He has close cut fair hair and was wearing a lined or quilted dark jacket. It took place at 6.45pm on April 15.

A LADY had her purse stolen from her bag in the Rose and Crown public house on Birley Street, Blackpool.

The pub was very busy as the thief brushed against her and sneakily took the purse from a bag she had on her shoulder. The thief was a 30-year-old white female with a heavily made-up red face.

She is of a slim stature and has permed long brown hair and was wearing denim jeans and jacket.
