JACK WALKER'S other team joined the throngs to congratulate Blackburn Rovers on their promotion success.
Jack Walker became patron of First Town United in Jersey in the late 70s and there still remains a strong affection for Rovers among the club.
Honorary secretary Geoff Liron said he was delighted for the team.
He said: "The first thing we all do is look to see how Rovers have gone on and we are very pleased for them. It's great for the memory of Jack Walker too."
First United, who play in the British European Football Combination League, have recently finished their season where they came fourth in the First Division. They said they were delighted Rovers had bettered their efforts!
