TYLDESLEY RU took a week off from league action and enjoyed the rare day of a friendly at Manchester side Broughton Park.
Fielding 5 changes from last weekend's top of the table clash, Tyldesley still had to much power for the home side and came away with a 26-17 win.
Impressive in the forwards was Craig Pulman who scored twice and hooker David Goulbourne who tackled well all day.
Further scores came from Andrew Dickinson and a fantastic indivdual try from Mark Swanton. Three of the four conversions came from the boot of Eddie Wallban. Second-teamers Shaun Pulman and Matt
McGuire had solid games up front.
Tomorrow Tyldesley return to league action against Bedians away.
The second team lost out 14-7 against Broughton Park with old stager John Fetherston grabbing the home side's only try.
