MORE than 200 people attended a "Baby Day" at Fairfield Hospital to find out about childbirth and early parenthood.

The exhibition was organised by the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) who plan to make the roadshow, first held last year, an annual event.

Louise Clegg, NCT committee member, said: "All the exhibitors had a good day and the midwives were very keen for us to hold it every year.

"The main aim of the Trust is to give as much information as possible on the choices available to parents."

Subjects covered included ante-natal care, diet, financial advice, maternity rights, as well as advice from midwives.

It also promoted awareness for National Breastfeeding Week which begins on May 14.
