BUDDING artists at a Radcliffe primary school found that being creative was as easy as a walk in the park!
Pupils at Wesley Methodist Primary School took part in a new environmental project being run by the Wildlife Trust within local schools.
Environmental artists Gordon MacLellen, also known as the Creeping Toad, and Leslie Martin held an arts workshop at the Forth Road school.
The children spent half-a-day on a site visit to Philips Park, Whitefield, examining specific aspects of the environment such as ancient woodland, bush and grassland, marsh and pool and industrial heritage.
Their experiences and memories of the park were taken back to the classroom, where they were used to create pieces of artwork centred on the nature theme.
Once completed, the art works from all the schools taking part will be judged, and the children who have produced the most creative masterpieces will be presented with a prize at an exhibition on June 24 at Philips Park.
