CRUNCH time came for self-assured Vivien Hutchinson when she reached the finals of a very different kind of diet contest.
Vivien, of How Lea Drive in Bury, clinched a holiday in sunny Cyprus as winner of the competition "Does My Bum Look Big in This?" which was organised by Weetabix.
To qualify, Vivien (38) had to write a slogan about how she viewed the obsessive world of fad dieting and waif-like models.
Council officer Vivien said: "I just said that all of these crash diets don't work. The main thing I think they wanted to portray was that everyone could look like these models if they had the time, but that the normal healthy attitude is to be happy with who you are."
Vivien was then on the way to a final at Salford's Lowry Centre, and faced questions from competition judges who included Fast Show comedienne Arabella Weir, whose catchphrase gave the competition its name. They were so impressed with Vivien's answers that they awarded her the holiday.
Vivien added: "I didn't know where the holiday was until I went to the finals but I've been to Cyprus before and it looks like a really nice hotel. I can't wait to go."
