ROVERS chief executive John Williams today revealed the club are planning a promotion party before next week's FA Youth Cup semi-final second leg with Liverpool at Ewood.
If all goes to plan, a 20,000-plus crowd could see Graeme Souness and his promotion heroes presented with their runners-up medals on the pitch before the Youth Cup clash on Wednesday night.
"At the moment, we are working on a plan to stage a party down at Ewood before the Youth game," said Williams.
"There won't be an open top bus tour of the town but, if everything goes to plan, then the idea is the team will recieve their medals on the pitch before the game.
"The general feeling is, a Hell of a lot of people will come down to join in the celebrations.
"So we could be expecting a crowd in excess of 20,000 on the night which would make it a fabulous occasions, not just for Graeme and the first team, but the Academy lads as well."
"We've already contacted Liverpool to ask for their permission.
"But we've still got to sort out a few details as to how it will all be organised.
"However, we've decided it will be free to all supporters so it's going to be unreserved seating."
