A YOUNG woman escaped from a Marks and Spencer store in a getaway car after stealing £580 worth of clothing.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident in St James Street, Burnley last Thursday, which happened as the store was about to close.
The woman, described as in her early 20s, with dark hair and wearing a red top, is believed to have scooped 32 pairs of ladies stone coloured cotton trousers from one rail over her arm and made a dash for the door.
She got into a green Fiesta with the registration C239 NAB, which was stolen from Bradford on June 3 or 4.
The driver of the car was described as having dark hair and wearing a green jumper.
