A MAN was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary after he was found in water which had overflowed from a nearby lake.
The incident happened about 8pm yesterdayat the lodge, in Nuttall Street, Accrington.
Police said it appeared he had drunk a large amount of alcohol and a spokesman said: "The man was drunk.
"It is not clear what he was doing there but he had been upset about his father's death. He was taken to hospital suffering from depression."
