MARCUS North showed just why he believes Colne can challenge for the title as his unbeaten century guided the Horsfield side to another impressive victory, this time against Nelson.

The in-form Aussie took his season's total to 409 runs with an unbeaten 103 off 126 deliveries, which included six fours and three sixes.

The all-rounder then underlined his current rich vein of form with four wickets as Nelson were bowled all out for 83.

North was well supported by Gary Hunt (21) and Gary Laycock (35) as Colne reached 212-6.

The 21-year-old Western Australian then set about dismantling the Nelson innings with Jeff Ellis who also picked up four wickets.

Only Jonathan Finch (19) and Paul Garraghty (24) managed any sort of response for Nelson.

The Hope brothers Jez and Matt guided struggling Lowerhouse to a morale boosting victory at Burnley claiming nine wickets between them.

Jez Hope returned figures of 6-57 with Matt picking up three wickets as Burnley were bowled out for 107 -- with Andy McLeod top-scoring with 31.

Lowerhouse were again without their injured professional Jon Kent with South African Claude Henderson deputising.

But it was Frank Entwistle (26) and Matt Hope (22) who ensured Lowerhouse picked up 12 much needed points.
