DETECTIVES in Darwen were today investigating a spate of car crimes in Turton and Edgworth that took place over the weekend.
The first one occurred in Horrobin Lane, Turton, when vandals interfered with the lock of a Vauxhall Calibra using a screw driver.
This was followed by a Mercedes parked on the drive of a house in Tower Court, Turton, after offenders broke into the vehicle and searched it before making off empty handed.
The third one happened in Harbour Lane, Edgworth, when thieves broke into a Mitsubishi and stole £10.
