A WOMAN'S passion for huskies is taking her to the Arctic Circle to clock up some fundraising for charity.

Denise Grundy has to raise a staggering £3,500 before she can go on the trip of her life next March.

Denise wants to raise money for the Disabled Living Foundation to help those people that can't take part in physical activities like the one in the Arctic.

Denise is preparing for a ten day, 150 miles around trip that she will be making with 12 other daring people that she will not meet until six weeks before the trip.

The 41-year-old, who was brought up in Herschell Street, Mill Hill, Blackburn now lives in Garstang, is having a charity dance in her home town.

It will take place on Friday, June 15, at 7pm at the County Hotel, Yew Tree Drive, Blackburn.

Tickets are £12 per person with all proceeds going to the Disabled Living Foundation.
