THE 41st Pendle Schools Festival got off to a flying start with music and drama at Colne Municipal Hall.
At Walter Street School, Brierfield, youngsters showed off their country dancing skills and other performances were held at St John's C of E and Holy Saviours's in Nelson and St Michael and All Angels', Foulridge.
There will also be a massed music night at Colne Municipal Hall on Friday at 7pm and during the week arts and crafts will be exhibition. Pictured are Chloe Day and Paige Marsden.
