I have been a season ticket holder with Blackburn Rovers for many years.
This year loyal and regular season ticket holders were given a discount of £25. This sounds good but I have noticed that this year there has been no mention of any free cup games included with the season tickets.
Usually there are two or three games free. Surely Rovers wouldn't give the loyal supporters a £25 discount and then charge £45 or more for the cup games?
I have written to Blackburn Rovers and had a reply which stated that no decision had been made and that they endeavour to give season ticket holders preferential rates as has been the previous custom and practice.
To me this seems like they are going to charge.

ROVERS' CHIEF EXECUTIVE JOHN WILLIAMS REPLIES: Following promotion and the rule changes to the Worthington Cup, there's no guarantee we'll have any home games next season.
But if we do get a home draw then we'll sit down and set prices for those games once the opposition is known because there's a big difference between playing Manchester United or a team from the Third Division.
There will be special discount rates for season ticket holders, though, as has always been the case historically.
