WE WERE amazed at your lack of coverage of the wonderful events last weekend in Corporation Park, Blackburn.
The classical concert on Sunday night, which had a fantastic firework display as a finale was enjoyed by thousands of people who came along with friends and family and revelled in the wonderful music played by the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
The atmosphere was full of true holiday spirit, helped along nicely by picnics with lots of champagne, wine and good ale.
The organisers and the town council must be justly proud of staging this fine event along with all the other excellent entertainments which were available for all to enjoy.
Well done, Blackburn. It made us feel proud to belong here.
