THE culmination of two years of work swung into life with the opening of a long-awaited play area on Higher Folds.
Three new sections, for toddlers to teenagers, have been welcomed on the central Richmond Drive site by the estate's youngsters.
The top of the range equipment was installed following a consultation exercise with residents, when 400 families who answered a questionnaire, pinpointed play areas as a priority.
