A LUCKY Blackpool girl has outbid hundreds of hopefuls in a music competition to snap up a luxury night in London, £200 spending money and -- most importantly -- two much sought-after tickets to see Steps in concert.

Rosie Turner, a 12-year-old Arnold School pupil, is unusually eager to get back to school this September so she can tell all her friends about the fantastic prize.

She said: "I couldn't believe it when I received the phone call saying I had won. I am so excited about the trip and I can't wait to see Steps live. They are my favourite band and Claire is my favourite member of the group. I would really like to meet her and will get the chance after they perform.

"My Dad is going to come with me, even though he isn't a huge Steps fan. I am going to spend the money on a big shopping trip while I am in London."

The ecstatic youngster from South Shore won the music4you experience by collecting tokens from a national newspaper and calling and placing her bid on the hot-line number.

Rosie had spent weeks clubbing together with family and friends to collect enough tokens to place the winning bid.

Rosie is a huge Steps fan and, as well as watching their gig, she will also get the chance to meet the band backstage. She will also stay in five-star luxury and be given £200 to ensure that her weekend is one to remember.
