EWOOD defender Martin Taylor was called into England's Under 21 squad yesterday ahead of their clash with Germany on Friday.
New boss David Platt was at Ewood on Saturday to watch Taylor in action against Spurs.
So when a couple of his original squad dropped out over the weekend, Taylor and Newcastle's Shola Ameobi were given the call.
Rovers reserves are in action against Newcastle tonight at Morecambe's Christie Park (kick-off 7pm).
The squad is: Filan, Kenna, Murray, Hignett, Greer, Broomes, Grayson, Dunning, Bent, Walters, Morgan, Howson, Robinson, Donnelly, O'Brien, Danns.
