HOUSEHOLDERS in the Darwen area are being offered the chance to have a free home fire safety check.
Firefighters will provide free smoke alarms and fit them where necessary.
And they are offering life-saving advice in the event of a fire in the home.
They will also make a fire-escape plan for you and your family and offer practical advice on identifying fire hazards in the home.
All home fire safety checks will be carried out by fire officers from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service who will show identification.
Anyone wishing to obtain free advice on making a fire-action plan should contact Darwen fire station on 01254 702288.
