ROVERS are facing a fine from the FA in the wake of Monday night's match against Leicester at Ewood.

Under new rules aimed at cleaning the game up, any team who has six players or more cautioned in the same game faces an automatic fine of £25,000.

Referee Rob Styles came in for fierce criticism in some quarters after booking six Rovers players and two from Leicester in a game which didn't contain a bad tackle.

However, though Rovers have no official right of appeal, Ewood officials are expected to lodge a complaint, especially considering the sixth and final caution was given to Craig Hignett for trying to take a quick free kick.
